The HORIZON 100 Midrange is a new high performance, affordable midrange speaker from ADI. The HORIZON 100 uses a true flat diaphragm. We surround a custom aluminum and fiberglass honecomb with mylar, and sputter urethane on the front.

The result is extreme stiffness, high damping, and light weight with a truly unique cosmetics. The HORIZON 100 also uses our XBL™ motor for maximum linearity; 6mm one way with less than a 10% change in BL, and vanishingly low distortion. And that motor is combined with our RevSurround™ so the suspension is as low-distortion as our motor.

The Extremis 170 is our standard, high-output, low distortion high value midwoofer. Featuring a cast aluminum basket, custom molded polypropylene cone, Santoprene® surround, and a true RandomWeave spider, the Extremis 170 is the leader in low distortion, high output midwoofers.

The Extremis driver features our XBL™ motor for massive excursion. High power handling comes from a large 38.5mm voice coil diameter and a thick split-aluminum former. A full-length copper sleeve on the pole piece also helps increase the power handling. And with this high power handling the Extremis allows for massive stroke - 11mm of linear stroke. High power handling, high acoustical output, high linearity at an affordable price.
